As my last term’s prof said, always start a boring lesson with a comic.
Ok, so that was not a very good punching line i will admit. Anyway, this is week 3 of my internship in the Far East ( with hopefully 10 more weeks to go 
).. And i can frankly tell you that I AM BORED OUTTA MY MIND..
Yes, it is nice to slack at work but seriously, having nothing to do and having to face the com the whole freaking 8 hours sux.. It is not as if i can read a novel or wat.. If i can, i would have a veritable library by now.. ANYway, to reduce boredom, i have started to play Utopia. Yup, that’s right.. Utopia the online game in which i last played in my secondary school days ( i wonder how they survive? None of the games i know lasted this long)
The funny thing is I thought i would be very busy.. If i had known that it was this boring, i would have brought my NWN 2 and started playing in the office lol.. But hopefully, this situation would end soon as the server is being set up and real work can be done.. And when it does, i guess i would be saying the reverse and bitch about how busy i am.. Gods, the karmic gods would be laughing their ass off..
To add to the craziness that i have, the company has implemented a uniform system.. Yes, it applies even to the office personnel.. And it only costs like s$2-3 per piece. Not surprisingly, the quality is suckish and i bet the seller made it 1000% profit out of it.. The material is stiff as if it came out from a porcupine and the sheerness! Wow, i am all right since i am a guy, but seriously, the material is so thin that i can see whatever the person is wearing underneath the shirt with no problem at all.. Now i know you pervs must be drooling over this fact but i assure you that i do not enjoy it ( unless it was worn by a hot pretty gal :p ).. But frankly the policy was weird, i mean what good comes out of making everyone look like a factory worker? I mean one of my frens had a valid point in that the impression given would be weird.. I mean you imagine wanting to buy some stuff ( that is expensive) and what comes to receive you are factory-workers-looking people.. WTF.. If i was the customer, i would be like mightily turned off.
On to other things, i am glad to announce as well that we have made our first enemy i china. This comes in the form of S.. Now S was this person who was assigned to take care of us and during the first few days, we actually warm up to him and tot that he was a great help.. HOWEVER, we found that as the time drags on and we have problems with our accommodation ( internet connection, toilet flush and such), he seems to be mightily pissed off. That was not the reason i hated him.. No, no.. The reason was because of his excellent taji skill.. There were a few instances where we found out that we had little news of the current policy affecting us.. An example would be the clothes incident( gods, i hate that uniform).. We had no news that we had to wear uniform and ,lo and behold, when an concernened colleague asked about why we had no idea, S told my colleague that we had been told.. I mean WTF.. Even if i hadn’t heard it, 3 pairs of ears would certainly would…. Grr, just he thought of it makes my blood boil..
Haiz, anyway, i could only describe my days here boring.. The temperature is rising again and now i feel that it is at least as hot as SIngapore.. Boy, if it is true, it seems that we can have more hotter days to come.. Darn, hot weather makes me a bitch and combined with homesickness and many other things ( like food! my god, give me another few weeks here and i would trade my soul for a good bowl of Laksa)..
